"First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the world. For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers, making request if, by some means, now at last I may find a way in the will of God to come to you. For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established- that is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me." ROM 1:8-12 All Have Sinned We begin our Romans Road journey with two versus from Romans Chapter 3. Romans 3:10 tells us that 10)“there is none righteous, no, not one;.. And Romans 3:23 continues with 23)“..for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,..” Some might see these versus as a calling out that no one is perfect. None are righteous, and All have sinned in Gods eyes. Guess what? It is ok not to be perfect, and accepting that fact, is your first step in finding salvation. Christ In Our Place Our journey continues to Romans Chapter 5. One verse that changed the world. “But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Rom 5:8 That is right! “While we were still sinners;..” and not perfect, God sent his son to take our punishment and death on the cross. He loves us that much! He made an immeasurable sacrifice to save us all from this world, so that we may live with him forever. Jesus Christ was crucified, and died for our sins on the cross. This is the second step in finding salvation. Realizing that the events of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ were in fact real events that occurred to a real person to save us from this world. Dead to Sin, Alive to God Now that we are coming close to the end of our journey, let us take you to Romans Chapter 6. In Romans 6:23, the bible says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” In todays' world, the understanding definitions of life and death are pretty clear. You live, and then one day you die. The world would have you believe that you have no choice. That one day, you will die and life is over. With this verse, God tells us, life is not over after death. You do have a choice on how to spend eternity. By accepting Gods' gift, he promises eternal life in Heaven. You don’t have to “do” anything to receive this gift, it is already yours. You just have to accept it. Confess Your Faith Some believe that accepting Gods' gift of eternal life is a hard decision to make. Many don’t know how to go about accepting it, and then question whether they really have or not. Romans Road leads us now to Romans Chapter 10. Romans 10:9-10;13 9) ..”that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10)..For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” In these versus, the bible tells us how to accept Gods' gift of eternal life. We just have to make up our minds and hearts and do it. Romans 10:13 declares, .13) For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” My dear brothers and sisters, let me tell you, I have seen God transform my own life and the lives of others. My life is forever changed thanks to the Glory of God by his son, Jesus Christ. Hallelujah, Thank You Lord! When the time comes, I hope you will open your heart and receive Gods gift of eternal life.
